Edifying Homeschoolers Along the Way

In Wisconsin, we must file form PI-1206 with the Department of Public Instruction, not asking for permission, but informing them that we are instructing our children at home. This form attests that we are not circumventing the school attendance laws and are providing at least 875 hours of instruction per year covering at least reading, language arts, math, social studies, science and health. Part Time Public School Attendance Option  The school board of a school district operating high school grades shall allow a pupil enrolled in a private school or a pupil enrolled in a home-based educational program (commonly referred to as home-schooling), who has met the standards for admission to high school,, to take up to 2 courses during each school semester.
